Cutting customers off from energy as a solution to the energy demand problem

The regulation was reached by Germany's Welt am Sonntag, which noted mentions of "peak demand smoothing" in a new energy bill created by the economics ministry.
Although the draft document was marked as ready, it was taken down from the ministry's website after intervention and a detailed description of the journal.
The draft implied that energy suppliers would be able to cut off those customers who generate high power demand when there is a shortage of power on the grid.
The break would last up to two hours.
Such a measure could affect, for example, drivers using fast charging stations, but also homeowners with heat pumps or electric heating.
